Volunteers

For its inaugural year, Connecticut Book Festival will recruit volunteers from Connecticut Library Association membership.  If we cast a broader net in the future, application forms will be available here.

We are honored and heartened by the number of authors who have expressed interest in presenting at the first Connecticut Book Festival, so soon after the initial announcement went out.

For this inaugural year, the Connecticut Book Festival Planning Committee has already identified a pool of authors of books for adults and teens from which it will draw to produce the 2011 Connecticut Book Festival; many will be Connecticut Book Award finalists and winners.  Our informed choices are based on diverse criteria that we hope will attract a lively audience. We also hope they  will eagerly anticipate the surprises of Connecticut Book Festivals in years to come.

We expect to post an open Call for Presenters on this site for the 2012 Festival.
